WWE RAW Set for Earlier Start Time on August 24 Due to Double Taping

WWE Monday Night RAW will start earlier than usual next week as the company prepares for double taping on the same night in Ottawa, Ontario.
During the August 17 episode of RAW, Michael Cole announced that next Monday’s show from the Canadian Tire Centre will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT on Netflix. This is a few hours earlier than RAW’s usual start time.
August 24 WWE RAW gets an earlier start ahead of SmackDown taping
The change is happening because WWE will tape the August 28 episode of SmackDown immediately after RAW.
The Ottawa taping is part of a busy schedule for WWE. The company will hold two double tapings within just five days.
On August 24, WWE will tape RAW and SmackDown in Ottawa. Then, on August 28, the company will do the same thing at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland show will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time. WWE will tape the August 31 episode of RAW and the September 4 episode of SmackDown during that event.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is using the double tapings to give its wrestlers and production staff some extra time off after a busy summer schedule. The break will also come before WWE begins its upcoming tour of South America.

The two double tapings will allow WWE to record four episodes across just two nights. After the Cleveland taping, the schedule will become a little lighter before RAW returns live on September 7 in Birmingham.
So far, WWE has announced some big matches and segments for the August 24 episode of RAW.
The World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament will continue with two semifinal matches. Penta will face La Parka, while Dragon Lee will take on Rey Fenix. Stephanie Vaquer will continue her feud with The Judgment Day and will face Roxanne Perez
The show will also feature a contract signing between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker.
