- *Terrifier *star David Howard Thornton proposed to his girlfriend, Jada Christie, in full Art the Clown guise over the weekend.

- "She said YES!!!" Thornton wrote over a video of the proposal at the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo, which they jointly shared to Instagram on April 18.

- Thornton told EW that he'd been planning the proposal in his hometown, with a special ring passed down from his mother "for several months," and is "so happy she said yes!"

That's Mr. *and Mrs. *Art the Clown to you.

*Terrifier** *star David Howard Thornton is officially engaged to his girlfriend, Jada Christie, and his proposal has horror fans swooning.

Thornton chose the traditional route when popping the question to Christie over the weekend at the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo in Huntsville, Ala. In a video of the proposal jointly shared to Instagram by Thornton and Christie on Saturday, the actor gets down on one knee, reveals a ring to an elated Christie, and mouths the words, "Will you marry me?"

And he did it all while dressed as his *Terrifier *character, Art the Clown — blood-splattered jumpsuit, gore-encrusted smile, and all. "She said YES!!!" Thornton wrote in the caption of the post.

When reached for comment, Thornton told * *that "Jada and I first met at a convention. We get a picture together at every convention that we keep as a souvenir for every convention that we are at together."

Regarding the proposal, Thornton shared, "I wanted to do something fun and unique that paid homage to both the films and our history together. I figured proposing in such a way at a convention in my hometown with my family present and using the ring my mother left me before she passed would be perfect, and had this planned with my appearance manager, Bob Catalano, for several months."

Thornton reiterated that he's "so happy she said yes! We're excited about our future together and thank everyone for the well wishes!"

Over on her Instagram Stories, Christie got sincere about the emotional occasion, sharing with her nearly 10,000 followers just what Thornton means to her.

Over a meme of the couple embracing after the proposal with the caption, "Her and the guy she told you not to worry about," Christie wrote, "I don't usually post snarky things but this made me laugh. I came from a relationship where I had to beg to be treated right to being worshipped like a goddess by David."

In the following Story post, Christie wrote, "I met David when I was still with the person who did not treat me right. But David was not the reason that relationship ended. My dad passed away and I realized how short life really is and how badly I needed change. We officially started dating in July and my life has changed for the better in so many ways."

The last entry in the *Terrifier *franchise, *Terrifier 3*, was released in 2024. Leone confirmed that *Terrifier 4 *is on the way later the same year, but a release date has not yet been set.
