Isaiah Salinda will not be making the cut at this weekend's Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The 28-year-old PGA Tour golfer did, however, do what he could to finish his second round strong, which included trying to salvage par in a unique way.
Salinda's tee shot on the 17th hole went in to the water, just to the right of the green. Rather than take a penalty stroke for the errant stroke, he decided to play the ball as it lay: in the water. That meant taking off his shoes, socks and even shirt to stay as dry as possible.

The shot set up Salinda for a chance for a par-3. He missed his first putt and ended up walking away with a bogey.
Salinda finished his second round 5-over par and +11 overall, which put him 121st out of 122 golfers. His round started off well with a birdie, but quickly fell apart when he posted an 8 on the par-4 11th hole.
After joining the PGA Tour in 2025, Salinda has made 23 out of 41 cuts, earning himself a little under $2 million in his career.
