A new storm is forecast to bring flooding rain and potential mudslides to Hawaii's Big Island as residents there still recover from last week's Hurricane Lala.
The system is expected to strengthen into Tropical Storm Moke on Friday.

Moke should remain weaker than Hurricane Lala. It will move south of Hawaii's Big Island with rain overspreading the area on Saturday night and then hammer the island on Sunday and into Monday.
The Big Island could face rain totals of 5 to 10 inches. That rain could bring life-threatening flooding and mudslides, especially in steep terrain and in areas that were impacted by Lala.

Up to 3 inches of rain is forecast for Maui while the other islands could see 1 to 2 inches.
Lala moved south ofthe Big Island on Sunday as a Category 1 hurricane, damaging or destroying more than 100 homes and cutting off some communities, according to the governor. The storm dumped more than a foot of rain over parts of the state, with the highest elevations getting more than 40 inches. Thousands on the Big Island are still without power.
