The revelation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are returning to the UK may have surprised many, but it seems there have been subtle hints on social media for quite some time. The pair moved to Canada in early 2020 after c, before making California their home later that year.

Six years after 'Megxit', together with their children Archie and Lilibet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return within a month to a non-royal property outside of London. King Charles was reportedly informed of the relocation on Sunday and is believed to welcome the chance to spend more time with the family both privately and personally.

Just last year, however, Prince Harry told the BBC in an interview that without adequate security, any possibility of returning to the UK was 'impossible' and stated he "can't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point".

Something has clearly changed though in recent times - and royal fans quickly began speculating about a potential move after noticing details of the products showcased on Meghan's Instagram under her American Riviera Orchard brand. The collection recently rebranded to As Ever and features a notably British character.

Her debut product release was jars of strawberry jam, which she famously sent to friends and influencers. Alongside the jam, the 45-year old has previewed other offerings including 'Simplici-Teas', honey, and dog biscuits.

The pairing of jam, tea, and biscuits strongly evokes a classic British afternoon tea, rather than something typically associated with sunny California.

In one post, the former Suits star posed gracefully with a delicate teacup and saucer, before placing a raspberry in her mouth next to high-tea style cake stands and teacups.

Royal insiders previously disclosed that Prince Harry hoped to organize additional meetings with the monarch to enable time with his grandchildren, whom he has barely seen since the Duke and Duchess stepped back from their Royal duties.

At the same time, the move appears to represent a significant reversal for Meghan, who has visited the UK just once since the late Queen's funeral in 2022 and during her recent visit remained out of the public eye.

During a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan expressed her concerns about sending her children to school in the UK, claiming photographers would crowd her at the school gates.

She stated at the time: "Sorry, I have a problem with that. That doesn't make me obsessed with privacy. That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child."

The move will, however, allow Prince Harry and Meghan to manage their affairs from international headquarters. Prince Harry will focus more closely on his UK charitable endeavors (including WellChild and the Invictus Games), while Meghan will continue her As Ever project.

Although Prince Harry has previously lost legal battles regarding his taxpayer-funded police protection, sources indicate that this move suggests he has finally grown confident that their private security arrangements are adequate.

The family is expected to be fully settled into their new home before the school year kicks off in early September.

The prospect of Prince Harry and Meghan's return to the UK has left many Brits divided, with some expressing bewilderment over the decision given Harry's well-documented security concerns.
