The DJ and producer, who’s played dozens of shows this year already with an arena tour on the horizon, took to social media on Monday, Aug. 17 and announced the rest of his scheduled summer festival performances are cancelled.
“after much thought i have decided to take the rest of august off of touring to rest & get ready for my upcoming arena tour,” began Summit’s note. “i unfortunately will not be able to make it to pukkelpop, creamfields, radio 1 malta & touquet festivals.”
The “Where You Are” artist continued, “i rarely ever do this but there is so much work to do for the tour and i need to recharge my battery a bit before this fall. thanks for understanding.”
Summit is scheduled for a series of international performances in September, as well as his own Experts Only Festival in New York City on Sept. 19-20. He’s then set to embark on his Ctrl Escape Tour throughout North America from October to December, followed by a string of Oceania festival sets in December and January 2027.
The EDM artist’s festival cancellations come days after he announced the final show of his Ctrl Escape Tour, set for Dec. 12 at the LA Coliseum in Los Angeles. “over the years LA has made some of the most special moments of my career.. from the palladium to the shrine, then bmo stadium to kia forum.. we knew we had to end the album tour on the highest note in los angeles,” he told fans.

Summit continued, “stoked to announce we’re closing out my north american tour with one night only at the iconic la coliseum on dec 12.”
The musician’s latest album, Ctrl Escape, was released in April 2026. The album went top-10 on the Billboard Top U.S. Dance Albums chart and features collaborations with Devault, Julia Church, Rohaan, Julia Wolf, Absolutely, Nija, Feid, The Chainsmokers, Ilsey, LAVINIA and KILIMANJARO.

In a March 2026 interview with Nylon, Summit spoke about how artists “have to be the whole supply chain nowadays” and opened up about the many different obligations involved in his career.
“It’s not just DJing. You also have to produce,” said Summit. “I have my own record label. I have my own events. I have my own festival, my own merch line. You have to run like 10 different social media accounts. You have to be a marketer, basically. You have to be a good influencer nowadays, too.”
He added at the time, “As an absolute workaholic, I do love it. It used to be, though, you can just f--- around all day, sleep to 3 p.m., DJ at night, have fun. But you get left in the dust if you do that nowadays.”
