Larissa da Silva Caetano Anunciação — a Brazilian influencer known online as Larissa Caetano — and her husband were reportedly arrested on Feb. 24 on suspicion of involvement in the illegal sale of weight loss medications.

Caetano, who has cultivated a following of nearly 400,000 on Instagram for sharing fitness and health tips, allegedly leveraged her status as a nurse on social media to sell her followers weight loss medications such as tirzepatide (the drug commonly sold under the brand name Mounjaro), Brazilian authorities told CNN Brasil and Metrópoles.

Investigators claim that Caetano was not authorized to sell these medications, making the transactions illegal, the outlets reported.

Per CNN Brasil and Metrópoles, police say Caetano could face charges for both crimes against public health and against the economy, penalties for which could total up to 20 years in prison, though investigations into Caetano’s alleged conduct are still underway.
