Ahead of reclaiming her post at The View table, former Survivor star and conservative commentator Elisabeth Hasselbeck is weighing in on Hot Topics on her own terms.

The ex-cohost — who publicly slammed the talk show and longtime panelist Joy Behar in early 2025 — spoke out online against problematic college fraternity practices, amid recent headlines covering notable alleged hazing instances on campuses around the country.

"Y’all. Why are we okay with hazing as a society? Why are we torturing our youth? To belong? For friends?" Hasselbeck wrote Thursday on her Instagram Story, over an image of Inside Edition host Eva Pilgrim's report on alleged hazing across United States college campuses.

Hasselbeck continued, making an incendiary projection about the direction she thinks the act of hazing can ruin a young person's life.

"Stop the madness. Now," the 48-year-old wrote. "We are to raise leaders not terrorists."

An Inside Edition report outlined a lawyer for a fraternity member responding to dropped charges against a student accused of participating in a hazing ritual, telling the program, "This was something that obviously it's a little bit embarrassing, and now that it's gone viral, he really just wants to move on with his life."

The season 2 Survivor alum posted her thoughts as a mother to three children, whom she shares with football star Tim Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck's announced return to the Hot Topics table made headlines primarily because she harshly criticized both The View and Behar in January 2025, after the 83-year-old comedian spoke out on the show about American Idol winner Carrie Underwood's decision to perform at Donald Trump's second presidential inauguration.

"That @TheView @JoyVBehar needs to simmer down off my friend," Hasselbeck wrote on X at the time, additionally accusing Behar of "calling Carrie Underwood Un-American" on the broadcast — though Behar never used the phrase "un-American" to describe Underwood. Hasselbeck additionally shared a photo of Behar to her Instagram Story, writing "Joy — @carrieunderwood is an INCREDIBLE WOMAN. You could learn from her strength."

Later last year, Hasselbeck was at the center of another View controversy, after former cohost Rosie O'Donnell replied to a podcast interview question about the duo's long-standing rift that stemmed from an iconic on-air clash preceding O'Donnell's first exit from the full-time panel in 2007.

O'Donnell alleged that their memorable fight was "a setup" and "prepared" by then-producer Bill Geddie (who died in 2023), with Hasselbeck replying in a series of tearful video messages urging O'Donnell to "stop the madness."

A date for Hasselbeck's return to The View has yet to be announced.
