The first half of Bridgerton Season 4 delivered masquerade mysteries, a scandalous offer from a gentleman, the steamiest of evening teas and wagers fit for a queen.

But the “Fan Ton” — the show’s dedicated online fanbase — is anything but settled as burning questions remain to be answered in Part 2 of Season 4, which drops on Netflix at 3 a.m. ET Thursday.

Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) still doesn’t know the true identity of the “lady in silver” hidden in plain sight. Meanwhile, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) is caught between her heart and her dignity( and apparently forgoes her packed belongings, much to the dismay of fans).

Luckily, in Mayfair society, nothing stays a mystery for long. Here are the questions we are hoping to get answers to:

1. How will Sophie respond to Benedict’s mistress proposition — and can they overcome their major class divide?

The first part of Season 4 centers around Benedict desperately searching for the masked “lady in silver” he became enamored with at a masquerade ball. Benedict doesn’t know that this woman is really Sophie, a maid, and has only one of her gloves to identify her by.

Benedict later encounters Sophie and develops feelings for her, fully aware that she is a maid, but still doesn’t know she’s the “lady in silver.” But by Mayfair society’s standards, they are an ineligible match.

The first part of Season 4 left fans shocked when Benedict asked Sophie if she would be his mistress, an offer she found insulting following that steamy stairway scene.

2. How will Queen Charlotte’s wager with Penelope unfold over whether Benedict will marry?

Queen Charlotte, who says she’s tired of championing debutantes for the season, is keen on focusing on a gentleman. She zeroes in on Benedict, Penelope Bridgerton’s brother-in-law, as the pick of the season.

Penelope, who is now under the thumb of the queen as Lady Whistledown, tries to persuade the determined queen that Benedict shouldn’t be the one. "I know Benedict," she tells the queen. "Of all the men of the ton, I would wager that Benedict Bridgerton is the least likely to marry." Penelope tries to clarify that she didn’t mean the wager literally, but the queen’s interest is already piqued.

“We have a wager,” the queen announces.

3. Will the Bridgerton children find out about Lady Violet’s relationship with Lord Anderson?

One of the quintessential lines of Season 4 goes to Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) when she invites Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis) to her home for evening tea in Episode 4.

“I am the tea that you are having,” she asserts confidently, after a “will-they-won’t they” build-up throughout Season 3. Later in the episode, she expresses her happiness while lying next to Marcus, signaling that she’s prioritizing her needs after spending years mourning her late husband.

But the relationship between Violet and Marcus has been kept secret away from the gossip of the ton and the prying eyes of the Bridgerton children.

4. Will Francesca’s feelings for Michaela be revealed in any way?

At the end of Season 3, Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd), who is married to John Stirling (Victor Alli), feels inexplicably drawn to her husband’s cousin, Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza).

In the first part of Season 4, John and Francesca work hard to grow closer in their relationship and open up their home to host a family dinner, but Michaela unexpectedly shows up, leaving Francesca unsettled.

5. Which character’s story will be the next Bridgerton season?

Showrunner Jess Brownell wore a pocket square with the initials “E” and “F” embroidered on it for the red carpet during the Season 4 premiere of Bridgerton in Paris. The characters whose names start with those initials are Eloise and Francesca. “Both characters with the initials on my pocket square will get seasons 5 and 6. In what order, I can’t say,” she teased.

While Francesca is sorting through feelings for Michaela, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) has dubbed herself “on the shelf” and is looking to avoid the matchmaking scene entirely.

6. And finally, the big question on fans’ minds is… where are Sophie’s belongings?!

This question is perhaps one of the biggest that has been irritating fans.

After Sophie was fired by her stepmother, Araminta Gun (Katie Leung), she packed her cherished belongings, including one of the gloves she wore to the masquerade ball. She ends up finding employment at the Cavender household. Coincidentally, Benedict is also visiting his friend, Phillip Cavender, at the house, but ultimately intervenes after Phillip harasses Sophie and another maid.

Benedict convinces Sophie to ride in the carriage back to London with him. But before they leave, Sophie doesn’t go back inside the Cavender house to grab her luggage or the glove, and fans have been agonizing over this detail.

“The question on everyone’s mind,” one Instagram user wrote. “Where is her bag with the glove!?”

Another Instagram user posted a meme of a woman silently screaming alongside the scene when Sophie leaves the Cavender house with the text, “All of us when Sophie doesn’t grab her bag & just leaves it behind.”

One user was relieved to find out they weren’t the only one obsessing over this detail, writing in the comments section to the post, “Feeling so validated from all of you 😂 I mean are we over it yet? This bag is living rent free lol.”

Will we ever find out where Sophie’s belongings are, along with the glove? Only time will tell when Part 2 drops on Thursday!
